About the Company
Inland Water Works Supply Company (Inland Water Works) provides products for new water and sewer construction as well as products for maintenance and repair of existing water and sewer systems to municipalities and contractors throughout Southern California.
Founded in 1952, Inland Water Works traces its roots to Julius Spears who started the business in his garage after retiring as the head purchasing agent for the San Bernardino Municipal Water Department. Customers enjoyed personal service and sometimes even fresh ox tail soup cooked by Julius’ wife, Marguerite. Inland Water Works eventually grew into a family affair, with Julius’ son, Orville, joining the business in the late 1950s and Julius’ grandsons, Jeff and Greg, coming on board in the 1980s.
After incorporating in 1974, Inland Water Works moved out of its founder’s garage and into a new office/warehouse building on Miramonte Drive in San Bernardino, California. Inland Water Works’ personal attention to detail and commitment to outstanding service continued to fuel the company’s growth. In June 1996, Inland Water Works moved into a state-of-the-art 10,000 square-foot office/warehouse complex on the same block as the original 1974 building.
Today, Inland Water Works’ commitment to providing unparalleled customer service has made it the number one choice for many municipalities and contractors in Southern California.
